I swear, I have alot of patience but when it comes to Rx7 mutations like this I loose my kool. Steve what the **** is your point in posting some garbage like this? If you don't like Rx7's or rotaries get the **** out of this forum. I apologize to the forum members and the owner of this website for my behavior, but I just cant stand **** like this.

i just noticed the why spend all that money question. well i know that he sold his old set up for a certin amount of money and now he has this one. all i can say is that he still hasnt spent half the cash he made on his old motor. it cost a lot less than you think. not only that he is a great mechanic and does all the work himself so labor is free and so is the construction of the motor mounts and any other custom things he needs to make it work. when you own your own shop and have the resources to do it. why wouldnt you?

If your asking why not do something like this when a person could do it. It's very simple Rx7's and the ROTARY ENGINE walk hand in hand. If your friend did not have the now how to build a reliable engine thats his freaking problem, he is a total looser in my opinion. I build rotary engines all day and guess what? they make crazy power and are super reliable. How does a 700rwhp 13B that gets abused all year at that horsepower level and its super reliable. I really hate people that jump on the band wagon. And if your going to tell me that your friend knows how to work on rotaries. Im going to say your full of ****. because if he did, he would be able to put together a reliable engine. Man I hate this ****....

For some reason I don't mind a project like this compared to Marvin Leckuthai 's "widebody super-show car" FD....

I think part of it is that an sr20det is still pretty rare here in the states. Somw of the mystique will be lost w/o the rotary, but I do like the idea of running higher boost https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Maybe it won't be as high as the supra-engine swap, but I'd like to see some performance #'s before calling it a waste....

I just hope that this project wasn't done so a shop can get some attention *cough* sp engineering *cough*...

We've got FD's here running 19 psi on 89 octane gas...so that whole "high" boost thing is crap. However, I appreciate the work he's doing, even though I do not like the idea. I wouldn't spend money on putting an engine/transmission in that creates LESS horsepower than a rotary. Look at Ray Wilson's FD if you don't believe me....9.XXX in an FD with a/c and power steering with full interior...why take the heart of the RX-7 out and insert a pace maker?

hey thats my boys car. his name is shaun and he owns a performance shop here in tallahassee called NRG or Upgrade depending on who you ask.. i just got back on my midtour from korea and took a look . all i can say is NICE. he is fitting the turbo right now and should have it running in about a week or two. i looked at his motor mounts and hes going solid mounts. i bet that fuckers gonna shake his fillings loose. he is going to do my 7 in a few weeks. No im not going with the nissan motor but am getting a rebuild done by crisspeed in miami and a single turbo w/ a haltech. all i can say is that this **** is gonna be cool because who else in the usa or **** in the world owns an rx-7 with a nissan motor in it?? i have never seen it. just on a side note i cant stand it when people get all retarded over the rotoray engine. im come on to say that its no longer and rx-7 because the engines changed is ******* narrow minded and from some one who lacks vision. maybe people should stop hating and take it for what it is. a unique car that no one else has.

More like we get mad because the rx7 is unique due to its rotary engine. He took the uniqueness out of it and made it a regular old piston pusher.
