The problem with a BIG turbo, is once you commit to building boost, its kinda all or none. You either ***** foot it, or just let it go. So you either crawl or break even highway speed limits from a standstill in a few seconds... The small turbos hit fast and hard, but didn't put out enough power to take you past the limits, it's somewhat controllable. That and blowing the tires off through the first 3 gears is kinda of a cop magnet, at this point in my life, I don't need stupid traffic tickets.

I am going R compound tire shopping today, the k104's are just not cutting it.

we've been happy with the r888's, they actually wear very well and are good in the rain

id go with the 2.0, it starts stock, but you can adjust if needed

2.0 is out???

I'm even going to put the stock air box back in, and a cat so I don't stink when I get to work. Having a shirt and tie on as a senior engineer and wreaking of exhaust to the senior management is kinda faux pas.

Stock air box, now thats hardcore !..lol

I would just settle for the cat..

The r888's look not bad, not much comes up for 235/45/17 and 275/40/17 in r compounds , so far its between toyo and Nitto nt01. Wonder how long they will last in street use..

Else I need to find the correct silicone coupler that will fit at the end of the S5 AFM. The last time I bought a 3" coupler it was too small. I ended up wrapping it in self fusing silicone tape and I think air is leaking around it thus bypassing the afm and making it run ever so lean.

toyo owns nitto so they are the same compound, might wanna doublecheck though i may be thinking of the nt05

yea I'm pretty decided on a stock bodied 91 T2 with a 20b on it.

My FD with a custom speced turbo similar to a t04r is like how max describes, im either *****footing it up the highway or breaking out of 1st-4th gear with scenery flashing by faster then i can process it.

Great thing about a big turbo is gas mileage, my boost doesnt build till 4k-ish so i can be in economy mode on long drives. Hell the FD in a semi-tuned state got like 15mpg on my last road trip from North NJ to South NJ and back, i was amazingly surprised since thats close to what i get in my bone stock EvoIX.

The FC i still havent "driven" but I'm sure it won't be fun on legal roads in the daytime...the backroads at night? yea itll probably be ******* ridiculous.

Damn i miss my FD already, been down for a week while i try to find time to run the braided fuel lines, got some nice trick filters from Russell, got my CJ Motorsports Dual Walbro Fuel Pump Mount, also installed my whole dual nozzle 100% meth injection, just need to wire up the progressive controller and it'll be ready .

Lets not even get started on how much i miss my FC, almost 5 years now :(

kevin.

If my car wasn't a S5T2 and was just merely a NA S5 car I would be tempted to drop in a renesis motor for it.

Oh... and do you guys think gold colored Enkei RPF1s w/ Red anodized lug nuts would look good on my white car? I'm going for the stock color on my S5T2. WG, Nobel White.

Black wheels also look nice on a white car... The Gold and white is very Subaru..Amemiya always puts a silver wheel on a white car.

im not a big gold wheel fan
