A.)Do RX-7's have IRS units?

B.)If so do you think it'd fit into a foxbody? :/

C.)How much power can these bitches handle?

D.)How much do they cost?

E.)Got any better ideas? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

Thank you..

It's a strange question, but I'll explain why

I'm currently planning out the build of a 4cylinder turbo mustang foxbody, and the only IRS I can find is from the 02ish cobra..And those bitches go for 1k...I want an IRS just so I can possibly entertain the ablity of this car being an autocross car, since a solid rear axle will take some work.

Weird question, I know..But I can't leave a single stone unturned..Thanks a lot.

converting to IRS is gonna be expensive any way you do it. i'd go for the cobra its VERY strong!

Yeah, I was thinking that. I'm just trying to get the word from the horses mouth on all other opitions, you know? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

**** yeah they are strong dude. That's considering im only gonna have like, 380tq at the most (aluminum head..don't wanna go far with it) And those Cobra IRS'es can handle like 700hp easy. They just cost so much :( but they're also a direct bolt on to ANY foxbody mustang..

I think I might have to do it. But there still is another option, there is a Merkur car much like the SVO, it has a decently strong IRS, but with some money put into it, I think it can be a go.

Use the 8.8" IRS out of a thunderbird. It should be a lot easier than swapping in the FC IRS.
