I was scratching my head trying to figure out why someone would waste time making fun of a PONTIAC (Poor Old Nigger Thinks Its A Cadillac)
|
Someone once asked me why I didn't pick on Pontiac drivers like I do for owners of certain other cars. I guess the thought had never occured to me.

I'm no big fan of Pontiacs, but the GTP is a pretty badass car. The rest of their stuff is definitely lame.
|
I like the WS6 myself.

You guys ever hear.." I'd rather push a Chevy than drive a Ford"
|
I was a fan of the ram-air grandams till I drove one. The damn hood isn't even functional!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

They are bringing back the only decent one... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Pontiac is coming out with some cool cars, that little convertible they did looks really good, they are getting away from all that plastic crap on the car, the new Grand Prix is actually kind of nice and has something like 260 hp. Bonneville is ugly. You people need to remember Pontiac from when they built good muscle cars, all motor mind you. |
yep yep the GTO is coming back. allthough I really wish it would'nt. My first car was a '70 GTO. 400/4barrel/4speed, functional ram air, hood tach. Ahh those were the days. The GTO is what started the "muscle car " era. I think the new GTO will cheapen that.
|
Yeah, I feel the same way. I just hope it kicks as much ass as it looks like it will to make me forget about that. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
(want to buy a 72 GTO 400/4bbl/3 speed? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub... ) |

[/quote] That's a suspension pakage that comes with a different cam, hood (with functional Ram Air), side skirts, rear deck/hatch, wheels/tires, intake, exhaust, and differential than the Trans Am. How they fit all that into a set of springs and shocks I'll never know..... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif |
Oh, and the Grand Am? I just call them "Goddamms".
|
look at the gto carefully.
it's a bodykited grand am/prix with a different engine. to me it's bad to the name GTO cause it's not unqiue, it's not something that stands out, the original GTO was a real head turner and stood out above the other cars. kevin. |

Now there's something you don't hear very often...one more time: "but I wasn't going to argue without doing research first." |

Well, if you remember back in the 60s and 70s it was the same deal. The GTO and Grand Prix didnt look all that different. Although they were more different than the current two.
