So youngins and oldins alike, what is your wish for retirement? Grow old, work your ass off, collect social security and bitch about young people wasting their youth? Retire to in a mountain, become a recluse?



Mine is simple I guess, or rather ours. I'd like to sell the house, buy a sail boat and spend my golden years wondering locations near the equator, pulling into port and throwing out the anchor, for a day, week, year, who knows how long and for my last 20 years or so people will have great stories about whether or not I am still alive and where I last sent them a post card from. ironically, that is very similiar to what i have planned... except i'm gonna have a pirate ship and attack other sailboats from florida.

I figure, as the house is currently worth about 225k it should be worth more then enough to buy the boat I want. I'm fairly picky on the config, so the boat will cost a bit, but i figure the house will be a wash and I can retire off the rest.

HA HA, yea I will be taking it slow, if the breeze don't get me there then I obviously didn't need to be there!

still have to have a real motor to get into port, they don't take too kindly to you sailing up to the dock in most places. Besides... a P-port 20B sailboat would sound sick!

I hope to chase summer traveling worldwide until i'm dead, the end of my will reads "cremation, spread ashes on grease spots on the garage floor"
