HOLY **** THATS SOME PIMP ****!!!!

Are those computer case fans on your intercooler??

u finally got it running? wut tranny are you using? give us details!!

Yes, those are computer fans on the intercooler, but I'm still not happy with the inlet temps. They were the only fans I could get to fit under the hood(not much room)I may do some switching around. The fans are run by the Haltech. It took a little doing to fit the Turbo II under the hood!

Sorry, forgot to add about the tranny. Its a Rino case built in South America. Some parts started life as Type I VW, but most all have been modified. Its got four spyder gears, super diff, welded 3rd & 4th gears and 4.12 ring. The first three gears are stop light to stop light and the fourth is an overdrive. The math says that at 7000rpm the car would be doing 165mph. Stuff Transaxle in California built it to take 300+ HP. Its got large type 2 CV joints, swingaway axles and

Porsche 944 stub axles, Its got 4-wheel disc brakes. The engine adapter,clutch/pressure plate and flywheel were made by Kennedy Engineered(the flywheel is 12lb) I had to machine custom mounts for the oil cooler and intercooler. Its got a 3" stainless exhaust with Racing Beat premuffler and Supertrapp 3" in, 4" out. I can raise and lower the front end 3to4 in. The radiator is from mazdatrix and is on a custom mount with a large fan. It has a large Bosch fuel pump and a 10gal Alum. fuel cell.

DAAAMN. no wonder it to you 2 years...lol. Sounds like ALOT of rear end work. Just hope you dont get any problems with that.

SWEET ass project man, MAD PROPS!!!

bout the intercooler, if i were you, i would set it up somewhere else if possible. OR you can get a scoop like the ones for the 91 MR2's. Its a scoop that sticks out from the upper right hand side and directs air to the intercooler...

wdwflash 01-17-2002 05:24 PM

On the intercooler. I've got it blowing down no, but I've built a special piece for the bottom that I'm going to hook up to a 3" hose and a fiberglass scoop under the car. I'll then reverse the fans and have them pulling in air to help, that should bring inlet temps down a lot.(not much room to install anything else!) With the trans, I went as strong as I could buy/build, everything is overbuilt(I hope).

that thing is bad ass but where are the wheelie bars ??? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

wdwflash 01-19-2002 11:28 AM

No wheelie bars yet, but I am adding a 75lb lead bar up front to help keep the front end down. I'm looking into 720cc injectors so I may need them in the future. I've got a picture of a mid-engine Kelmark with a heavy Olds V-8 doing a wheelie(mag. is from the 70s). Road & Track mag. in the 70s took one to 202mph at the salt flats.

So far I've only done a few half throttle 1st and 2nd gear runs and even that was something else. When the secondary injectors and the turbo kick in, its like someone took a baseball bat to the back of the drivers seat! Makes me wonder what NOS would be like.(maybe in the future or when I have a death wish!)
