definitely better than the theatrical ending. although the theatrical ending went well with how he was portrayed in the rest of the movie.IMO

The book ending was better because the vampires rose up against him and double crossed him then executed him at the end. A much better and sadder ending.

Yeah it way better in this version. I liked it better than the theatrical, definately.

Agreed, this was the typical end of days with mutants all over the place movie, it really brought nothing new to the table, quite honestly movies like this aren't my bag anyhow, but I decided to watch this one cause the previews made it seem it had some depth above and beyond the typical end of the world flick... it did not. Like most movies as of late the previews are pretty much all you need to see, there's nothing more in the 2 additional hours you waste you didnt get from the previews.
