We are now on the new providesite.com server.



You will notice some changes, first off until there has been a post in each forum, the last post link will not work, it is temporary.



Second, it's faster!



Third, I changed the skin some.



Fourth, I added new emoticons.



Fifth, post markers work



Sixth, we are using the ip as the domain has not yet resovled, sorry for the inconvenience.



These are all very minor inconveniences, everything else is working great. Except I have not added the PM notify feature.

Well we had one glitch I just learned about... we are stuck on the ip setup for a few days, I cannot change the nameservers until the domain transfers to the new registrar I renewed it with... that kinda sucks, but oh well we should be off the ip deal by the end of the week. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...lookaround.gif

Two down sides, nothing major, we are stuck on the ip until next week and we lost our "most ever online" record.



That's it.. other than that I am happy, it's going on 3AM now so I am hitting the sack... hope everyone enjoys in the morning!

One more thing, if you have an @nopistons.com e-mail account and want to keep it, PM me or e-mail me ASAP. If I don't here from you guys by the time the nameservers change over you will have a service interruption. I can't move your accounts over because I do not have your password... also if there is a certain password you would like, please include that in the message.

It is a #### of a lot faster that's for sure. Do we need to vote on which smilies and get rid of some? Do they hold up the load time?



I am looking at script execution times that are about 50% less than on the old server so we are rocking!!! The is about twice as fast, just we are stuck on the ip until I can get the damn domain transferred and change nameservers, wish I had of known that ahead of time, but it ain't hurting anything.



Love having the post markers work too!!!

The only issue we are having now is the old server keeps going up and down and since we need it to get people here... it tends to suck.. come on domain transfer, I jus tapproved it so should be done manana! Then it's a day or two for the nameservers.

Seems alot faster. I like the new emotions too.
