WTF?

alright somebody please explain to me why he has a grill tank in the back of his car... I've never once heard of propane injection before... What is it supposed to do? I'm guessing some sort of power adder but Propane?

FrestyleFC3S 01-28-2004 06:00 PM

why dont you serach the internet for PROPANE INJECTION

god damn

Boost Addict 01-28-2004 06:28 PM

I know it works much better on diesels

boxrs4sale 01-28-2004 06:33 PM

maybe there is a special attachment so you can cook burgers in the trunk

banzaitoyota 01-28-2004 07:15 PM

Kids love it too!

teknics 01-28-2004 08:07 PM

yea its like the god on diesels, but a rotary forum wouldnt exactly be the first place id ask.

id probably search the intraweb.

so seriously, go back to the new members forum.

kevin.

89 Rag 01-28-2004 08:11 PM

Oh yeah, propane injection, you open the bottle in your living room, then go drinkin and clubbin all night the come home and light a cigar.

rfreeman27 01-28-2004 08:35 PM

Yeap, its N20 for diesel

You can actually use both...crazy ****

BrandonDrecksage 01-28-2004 08:45 PM

it has more carbons in it chemical molecules, so i would image its kind of a octane booster

defprun 01-28-2004 08:49 PM

Yeah...a TURBO diesel.

An n/a diesel will show as much increase from it as a gas engine would...

Do you have a problem with me? I've never seen the damn thing before.. So I saw it on an Eclipse.. which ohmigod kevin get ready for this one.. A turbocharged import motor... Doesn't that sound familiar to you? hmmm lets think about this. Hmmm actually think before opening your mouth.. I'm can see the IQ in the forum dropping steadily when you speak. Why don't you and Frestyle kiss my ass and lighten up a little.. Go stand out by the QuikStop or something..

phinsup 01-29-2004 03:03 AM

Click the ignore button and move on, getting into a shouting match only encourages them.

defprun 01-29-2004 07:53 AM

Man kevin whats your problem!

LOL!

In Europe, Opel, Vauxhall, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, BMW, Citroen, Peugeot all produce turbocharged diesel compacts. They are an economical, reliable form of transportation and they are very very common over there. Not only that, but you can get some half-decent power numbers from them. Notably, torque numbers. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

A low displacement diesel sounds pretty neat...well not mine with its bloody kazoo type exhaust, but with a turbo and BOV its like driving across the interstate in a Mack truck.

Only with nimble autoX wearthy handling and compactedness that makes you realise the car was made for the narrow and congested european streets.

Engine breaking is pretty fun too! BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMM

lol

It's true!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png We got Peugeots with 1.5 litre diesel engines over here. They're still quite nippy though because they're little.

No...

phinsup 01-29-2004 02:31 PM

Like I said, do yourself a favor, click the ignore button and forget about it. It isn't worth, they thrive off baiting you into arguments. It's unfortunate that a limited few make the forum unbearable for the rest of us, but hopefully with the ignore feature you can cut the crap out of the posts and have a good experience at Nopistons.com

twstdmtl 01-29-2004 02:36 PM

Meanwhile back at the Bat Cave...

Propane has a great octane rating, 113 if I am not mistaken.

White Tiger 01-29-2004 04:24 PM

propane is used to solve the instant lean fuel/air mixture problem that nitrous causes

i can turn regular **** ... into golden ****

or diarrhea

TheAntiChrice 01-30-2004 10:41 PM

Yes White Tiger you are teh **** indeed...

propane is used along with nitrous, when n2o is injected and burned it causes an instant lean situation in your engine because it is an oxidizer, thus causing problems because it makes a much hotter fire, the propane gives you the extra fuel needed to keep your air/fuel mixture from becoming to much air and not enough fuel,(if you have more oxygen you can burn more fuel). burning more fuel gives you more power. if you just run the n2o you have to richin up the fuel/air mixture alot to keep the temp of the fire down so it doesnt cause damage, most of the time the mixture is so rich that your regular perfomance goes down because the engine doesnt get enough air until you hit the nitrous, thus use propane to solve air/fuel problem and get maximum performance out of your ride both when running on happy gas and when not.

Bow down to this man for ye are nay worthy

i know a guy who has a viper with a 200 shot and propane injection. made 620 whp or so and over 800 lb/ft of torque. lol, later on during the dyno session, fuel puddled up in the intake and ignited. it blew out his air filter, was pretty funny. wish i could find out who has the video...
