Ok guys and gals. I'm wondering if there was a way to lower the com. ratio of an engine. Form like 10:1 to 9:1 or what ever. Thanks.

I'm now celebrating my first INTELLIGENT post. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Yea break your apex seal... :bigok:

Why would you want to lower your compression?

put in s4 turbo rotors ofcourse with lower compression you get LESS power. prolly still beat the hell out of a civic though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/bounce.gif

I reiterate ...why would you want to lower your compression Kate?

No guys, not just on a rotary. I was actually thinking of the NSX. It's got a high as hell ratio which makes it very boost unhappy. I'm really thinking about getting an NSX and the guys at the NSX forums are just dumbasses. If I don't find an FD in 2 months I'm going with an NSX. So, down the road I'm gonna be thinking Turbo and wanna know if the engine's ratio can be changed to accomotade high boost. (15-20 PSI)

They have SC's for the NSX but I'm not ready to spend 10k on a 100HP upgrade.

The FD made me a boostjunkie

i would think you could get lower comp pistons or destroke it some (but i think honda's are really square built = good rod to stroke ratio) prolly thicker head gaskets theres more but i don't know that much BTW i'm no expert im a pizza delivery boy! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/spam.gif

Theres a few ways to do it. First way. Cheap, and probably not something I would do to an NSX. Put 2 or possibly 3 head gaskets on. It moced teh head farther from the block, decreasing compression.

Second, and the better way to go, is get aftermarket pistons with a dish. You might have to look a little, but Im sure somebody sells them for an NSX.

Kate I thought you said you were borrowing your friends NSX? What gives?

I am, but she hates it and I think I wanna buy it. I grew so accustomed to the car. It's really easy to drive and looks hot(IMO). It's expensive I know but not a problem here. It's a 2001 Targa and 6spd.
