This thing looks awesome. It's the next step up from a rotary engine. Hopefully they'll be able to refine it enough in the next 60 years, so I can see it used.

i wish that i could get paid a **** load of money to think of weird little ways to make a motor work... now mazda is going to have a QX-series... wow...

Yea, ive seen this thing floating around... it looks viable, but something about the way those followers move around the housing looks a bit failure-prone to me. I really like the veselovski engine, its very similiar to the wankel engine, but with different housing and rotor shapes.

That's what I thought about the rotary engine too...

If somehow the rotor in the rotary engine spun in one place, instead of moving out and around the ellipse odd shape, it'd look more reassuring.

Same with this, there are so many parts flexing and moving in it, I wonder how that's any more reliable than the Rotary?

it must change, otherwise there would be no compression cycle!

i'm guessing its somewhat efficient, since they used it in a go-kart in 2004, which means they're not THAT far from being able to use it in a larger vehicle.
