wasn't titanic boring enough do we really need another big ship sinking not everyone gets off, etc, etc.....wonder if they can stretch it to 4 miserable hours?

1988RedT2 05-06-2006 07:44 PM

Isn't this just a remake of the original Poseidon Adventure movie? Surely that was recent enough that we all can still remember it? It's not like all the forum members are kiddies born since 1980.... or is it?

phinsup 05-06-2006 07:49 PM

yea with more special effects, i think they used the titanic set. they are doing way to many remakes lately

j9fd3s 05-06-2006 08:20 PM

Rotarydragon 05-07-2006 07:02 PM

I'll always think of it as the Poopside Down Adventure after reading the Mad Magazine parody.

reminds me of some friends who went on a " Shut the ****** Wife Up Cruise". They got stuck on a sand bar in the river for a day. Never made Cancun and on the way back the seas got big but the stablizers were broken from the beaching and tow. My buddy said the pool had 5 footers, an old man got sucked and the deck chairs damn near killed him. They go into the dining area and **** is all over people are puking!

Said it was a ******* mess.

I laugh so hard especially cause he has a cajun accent !

phinsup 05-07-2006 08:10 PM

cruises are fucked, you wouldn't believe the **** that they manage to keep quiet... well you might, but yea.

Most people don't realize that when on a cruise there are no laws, no law enforcement, no health department, no l and i

Working mostly.

Now that I own (or in the process of owning) a TII I'm back. Who knows maybe I'll rebuild my NA while I'm at it. Or sell it. Or something.

I've had $45 in AMC gift cards since Christmas, we can never make it to the damn movies. We did rent some however. Herbie Fully Loaded, Shop Girl, and Pride & Prejudice (Edna picked them out). Herbie wasn't horrible, shop girl was quarky (steve martin shouldn't narrate), and I fell asleep during the other one.

You fell asleep during the movie adaptation of Jane Austen's thrilling literary masterpiece? Shame on you!

To Mr. Darcy it was welcome intelligence -- Elizabeth had been at Netherfield long enough. She attracted him more than he liked -- and Miss Bingley was uncivil to her, and more teazing than usual to himself. He wisely resolved to be particularly careful that no sign of admiration should now escape him, nothing that could elevate her with the hope of influencing his felicity; sensible that if such an idea had been suggested, his behaviour during the last day must have material weight in confirming or crushing it. Steady to his purpose, he scarcely spoke ten words to her through the whole of Saturday, and though they were at one time left by themselves for half an hour, he adhered most conscientiously to his book, and would not even look at her.
