I need some good free or relatively cheap software to block pop ups.

Any suggestions??

Ad Aware Pro blocks them...but it's $40.

using kazaa is what downloaded a parasite on my computer that mad pop up's come up even when IE was closed....crap drove me crazy until mike gave me a link to a site that helped me fix it

Were the pop-ups from the windows messenger program? I had issues with that before.

Avoid gator, Run adaware everyday. Prevents any installed **** bugging you. Also kazaa lite has no popups or spyware with the install.

i hate that gator **** and ape monkey bullshit along with that comet crap. i can never get rid of them. damn porno sites.
