well seeing that im tired of trailering the cars to the dyno and payin 300 to 900 a dyno session or hell even with my buddies having freinds with dynos out of state and having to go far far away to due tuning i think its time to buy a dyno .

im lookin at a dynapack 3000 and keeping it at my home for my personal use and then chargeing others a small fee just to pay for the dyno each mounth. dynos aint cheap by no means but as they say if you build it they will come and with the on going tuning and parts swaping and weather and all the factors that go into makin hp the only way to do it is with a dyno. so im lead to inquier about pricing on dynos. i know there is alot of dyno shops out there now but not in my area atleast good ones that you can trust, and i only trust one person with my car and he lives 100 miles from me and we never seam to get together enuff so im left to do alot on my own, with out the aid of a dyno, all on street **** wich is not safe.

anyone else ever ponder buying or leasing dynos, since a dynapack is relitivly cost efective and uses very little electric not to mention no aditional fees and is portable and is quite acurate from my experiance the dynapack is the only way to go in my mind, what yall think.

the obvious question is can you tune ANYTHING that walks in the door?

fc3sboy1 08-13-2005 10:56 AM

the answer is this, i will only do tuning on my own car and untill i am comfortble enuff to tune other cars. around here most people bring in there own tuner , albeit there not the smartest people in the world but to each there own. but i will sell time on it for power curves and the tipical things that most people want to know, how much power did this intake give me or exhaust, that is what most people around here want anyways and hate spending 200 at shops trying to figure that out.

you need to look into township regulations as well....

banzaitoyota 08-13-2005 11:24 AM

The other consideration is INSURANCE

banzaitoyota 08-13-2005 11:32 AM

And you are going to lease a $50K unit for home use. mmmmmm

rowtareh 08-13-2005 01:53 PM

Just pay up to get it tuned by a professional. You own a performance enabled vehicle, you need to pay pretty pennies out of the pocket to get it tuned. You have to live with that type of ****.

I have big dreams of starting a FB Cosmo swap, and I know there is more money involved with just swapping a block in and running the car. It takes time, money, sweat, love, dedication.

Just deal with it honestly, and stop being a prick about your money.

EDIT: And doing the whole "intake, exhaust" tuning is USELESS. You look at PFS, Petitt, all the big guys, and they do tuning on the big cars. You won't make **** on those worthless ricers.

It's just rollers, bearings, and controls. Nothing really difficult for the DIY-er.
