I need to ship a plasma screen tv soon, but a buddy is telling me that you can't lay them down horizontally or it will ruin it. I can't find anything online confirming or dispelling this so far... any TV gurus on here know if it's ok for me to ship/store it lying down? Due to it's size, it will be easier for me to build the crate for it lying down .

thanks....

sounds like crap, Im sure those things are not always shipped vertical.

Plus you can mount them on a ceiling which is horozontal.

call a store that sells plasma TV's, and then ask them how they are shipped. then copy whatever they do?

Ummm. I'd insure that sucker for the full replacement value. The odds of it getting to where its going in working condition are literally a million to one.

If u ship it from there how many miles does it go on the back fo a camel? I'm thinking 1 inch of foam for every 10 miles of travel on camel.
