Does anyone here understand physics? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif Im in physics now and were doing circular motion with angular velocity and tangential acceleration. I dont have any idea whats going on. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif Any input?

Ventricular what?

See, I don't take classes with words I can't pronounce.

Sorry man, can't help you there.

Dramon_Killer 02-12-2004 06:17 PM

Heh, i wish i could help but thats the ONLY thing that i didn't understand all year lol.

Striker 02-12-2004 06:29 PM

haha, same here, tangential acceleration i didn't get too well either. but, accel tan = alpha times radius. alpha equals the derivative of omega. i can't remember exactly what alpha and omega are, but i think alpha is angular accel and omega is angular velocity. anyone know exactly?

You in alg or calc based physics?

Eyxom 02-12-2004 08:20 PM

What you need help with? I can more than likely give you a hand.

Leetheslacker 02-12-2004 09:07 PM

The answer is always 27.

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2004 09:54 PM

i took engineering physics, **** is ******* hard, Had to take it twice. Im not helping you, ima stick with my current science classses. Engineering Geology, and Chemisttry for Science and Engineers. LOL

Oh my civil engineering class "Structural Mechanics" Is like all physics. Like SUm of the foces. Vector mechanics **** like dat. Well its statiscs not dynamics so it aint that bad. Next semester ima take Mechanics of Deformable Bodies that should be fun!

venomrx7 02-12-2004 11:14 PM

I remembered that stuff just long enough to pass the test, sorry

i'm in the electrical segment now, very cool, i actually understand ohms, and all that stuff instead of just knowing they exist.

CGeek2k 02-13-2004 11:33 PM

We're just getting into rotational and cyclic kinematics. Simple harmonic motion, uniform circular motion, regular circular motion, and eventually, I've heard, elliptical/gravitational motion. Everything is heavily calc based. Calc 1 is prerequisite and calc 2 is required simultaneously.

Striker - Thats exactly what yesterdays lecture was over. I need to be able to understand something conceptually before I can understand it mathematically. And all those damn greek letters don't make it any easier to understand.

Eyxom - Do you know any good websites or books that explain more the concepts than the math? Thnx.

Oh, and Lee - the answer is not 27, its 42.(see sig)
