Has anyone seen in person or even a video of this car in action?
Pettit's media department is lacking...I saw one video that was about a min long of their track RX-7, that was it. |
The Banzai is out of commision for a while. It was in a very nasty wreck. A tire blew out in a turn and as usual Cam was flying he flew off the road into a construction site and it got pretty beat up. H ehas it all covered up in a corner of his shop. He says it will be back badder than ever. I believe him.
I saw it in person and got to see Cam floor it and blow the doors off a NOS Powered Mustang at our first RX-7 BBQ in Florida. I have a short Video blip of it somewhere that does the car no justice at all. Did you know he had about 150K into that particular car? |
Someone find a link to the vid so vosko can host it when he gets back in town.

I was under the impression that there was more than one Banzai, so I just assumed SOMEONE would have a video. It's definitely my dream car. Well, an FD is my reality car because it's feasible...a Banzai upgrade is a dream, LOL. |
There are lots of them. Pettit builds them for customers they generally cost about 100K. Although I have heard you can give them your FD and 30K and they will build you a 3 rotor. It just will not have all the body accents of the Banzai.
I thought you were talking about Camerons personal flagship car. |

I thought you were talking about Camerons personal flagship car. The performance figures for that car are CRAZY. Did he ever top it out? I just wanted to see some video! |
*Bump*
In case anyone has something else to add or they didn't see this topic... |
i watched an orange one at an autox in san diego...the same orange one that was at sevenstock last year and was owned by a snotty rich kid.....he drove it hard as hell...he did donuts with it..tires smoking...ive never..EVER..seen an rx7 behave like that....torque is goooood.
no way is that car worth a hundred k....the craftsmanship of pettits is not refined...though it is very functional...id not pay for that....hell just think of the car one could get for a hundred k....something that looks like it was built by a shop isnt what Id go for...but i must say...i wish mine performed like that 3rotor. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png j |

I mean 0-60 in 3.1? That's faster than a 911 Turbo, a GT2, maybe even the Enzo. That's impressive. |
