So the wife and I had moved into her parents old bedroom, and were using their furniture. So we got it all out, and gave it back to them. Well, the room had never been painted before (bare plaster), so we had to prime everything. 12' ceiling, everything. I'm sitting at work with white primer in my hair. I tell you, that top rung gets scary. Anyway, new ceiling fan installed, and everything looks great. This Friday, I'm going to start on the floor. I just can't wait to be done. Thank you income tax refund!
3 walls: green color, "river bank" ...think clay, but green 1 wall: red color, "burnt tile" ...think about burnt tile...yep fan: go here , and it's the fan on the home page |
Sounds like fun

sounds homey

yeah, we feel much better about the room now, like it's ours, and we're not just using it for awhile
we plan on slowly redoing all of the house...floors, walls, kitchen.....but with like a decade time frame |

they have yet to get appliances (getting all new, top of the line stuff), but that's just about all they have left they totally redid everything in the new house, inside and out, and my wife and I are getting the old house from them oh, and it's not the "**** end," because they're giving us the house, free of charge |

and it took me this long to just realize that I put "painting if fun" rather than "is fun" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

my goal before getting married = be able to support myself and wife

I don't like goals that I can't reach, because then I get pissed off when I fail

anywho go for sponge painting on the walls, less dripping paint and at the end of the day you simply say "thats how i wanted it to look" and it all works out fine haha, my house has the middle level basically all sponge painted, including a foyer 2 stories tall... oh the work that requires i refuse to paint again for at least 10 years. kevin. |

kevin. And I like the sponge, weave, and other textured paint jobs, but it took us long enough as it was. There was a texture on the walls and ceiling with the plaster, and when painted over with the red, it looks like leather. The peaks stay a tad lighter than the valleys in the plaster, and created a cool effect. |
