I just wanted to test out this flash file that I stole from the ColorShift web site

It seems like it would be a lot better looking if they didn't make it so extreme.

It seems like the colors would clash with each other, but that doesn't happen with mine at all.



Oh yeah, the one on the bottom row, second from the left is what I have on my TII...maybe with a little more purple.

I like that one and the one to the right of it, but all the others are a little too extreme, black to purple, dark blue to black something like that would be my fav!

I'm curious about your paint job, where did get it? definitly not at maaco.....was it expensive? cuz im thinking of getting something similar

First off: **** MAACO. now thats out of my sytem- The cost of the paint alone is almost what it would cost to paint your car with normal paint.

you know a few of those paintjobs almost look like the Mystic that Ford painted the Cobra's... you know the Mustangs that changed color. Kind of cool for a factory paint job....

Yup, that is a lot like what they used on those 'stangs. The Chromaflair pigments have been used on a few cars straight from the factory. One of the nice things about them is that you can get one of their styles, and it can be mixed with another paint to give a more subtle effect. I'd love to have my '89 with a shift/fade from its regular black to a dark blue, but the regular black is nice too.

The colorshifting Cobras used the same exact paint that I have.



Winger, I bought my car painted like this from a guy who got the paint for really cheap, so I didn't feel the cost, but it's usually in the neighborhood of 5 grand for a whole car. I'll know soon enough...mine needs a repaint.

Do you do bodywork too? I need new fenders, a new hood (mine is steel), a new sunroof, rust on the doors and quarter panels fixed, and a new floor pan. Is that part of the $500 deal? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

LMAO...you forgot the gold, red, orange, aqua, and a few other colors that I have. Actually, I think one of the companies that makes touch-up paint makes a colorshifting version...I'll have to check it out.

I can give you a "chamelion" paint job for a small storage fee. If your car gets hit by my sprinklers long enough you'll get a nice rainbow color.

Gotta love city water. The water here is so hard it leaves white spots all over the car.

The water from the sprinklers is well water. It may be the iron that does it.

My well water in PA was clean...maybe the iron in yours will heal my rust.
