How big of a compressor do you need to use a paint gun? Which is a good cheap paint gun? Thanks is advance!

It isn't necessarily the size of the compressor, but rather the cfm it can maintain while running as well as the fluid needle/tip and air cap configuration. Lacquers can use a small needle/tip/cap and need less cfm to maintain the same atomization/fan etc. bigger needle/tip/cap more cfm needed and so on... I spent 500.00USD on my cup gun set-up, Binks and DeVillbiss, and I have an Ingersoll-Rand T-30 compressor which is more than enough to get the job done. You might be better off renting some equipment to do what you want, the components and maintenance can keep you broke until you get the hang of it.
