so im going with all dark colors on my vert project, irons are black, housings natural aluminum.

I did all the brackets, oil fill, and UIM/LIM this anthrocite or graphite color.

what you guys think?

im going for a no-polished look as I feel thats been done so many times that I want to do something different.

I plan on carrying out this scheme with the whole car, when I get new rims im getting polished wheels that are going to be

powdercoated with a translucent black, so they almost look anodized black, interior im getting the seats recovered in black leather,

im even on the prowl for a black shift knob, or I might just make mine black.

CF blitz gauges, CF gauge mounting cup for the steering column, and of course my black gauge surround under the black radio.

just hope my vision plays out as well as I see it in my head!

looks good.. seems smooth..

better than the others ive seen that just paint over without sandin it first...

Rob x-7 10-26-2007 07:27 AM

I filled in what is not needed, only thing getting a block off plate is the water feed for the turbo because

my turbo is not water cooled, but I bet my next one will be!

Sharp FC guys might notice I even filled in the dent in the UIM the factory puts for the stock top mount.

I also smoothed out all the casting marks.

Going all AN fittings and braided lines too.

id have shaved em instead... easier i gather to fill em in

being its a casting removing the mounts for the tmic would have required alot of welding, once you cut them off you are left with a holes in the manifold in an area that is not easy to grind and weld.

im already thinking a FD UIM once I get things sorted and running.

ive done a couple cars in grey like that, it looks nice. the grey is nice, cause its a little different, clean, but its close to stock too.
