Finally, another Bus load going back up north and leaving florida, now if only they could take the rest of them with them I'd be happy. I get tired of having to stomp my brakes because some old hag decides last minute she wants to go from the left lane and make a right turn on US-41.

Srce 04-27-2004 09:33 PM

Wait a second, this isn't a smartass remark, so is it really THAT olde-folk crowded in Florida.

Gen2RXSeven 04-27-2004 09:34 PM

Yeah.

the area I am in, average age is something like 55-68 and then the same age group comes down for vacation

mazdadrifter 04-27-2004 09:55 PM

DUDE that's every town in florida.

At least during the winter

75 Repu 04-27-2004 09:55 PM

careful.. you might offend Jims...

Jims5543 04-27-2004 09:56 PM

Yes!! Its getting better here too!! The roads are more empty and there are less old people wandering around screwing up the traffic. I have noticed less accidents in the last week as well.

Gen2RXSeven 04-27-2004 09:57 PM

yup yup. I have to deal with the idiots as they leave since I work at the hotel that the shuttle leaves from. ugh.

Pyrrian 04-27-2004 10:01 PM

Being an old person isn't so much an age defined catergory as it is a sense of driving impairment and senility.

Gen2RXSeven 04-27-2004 11:58 PM

I'm not bitching about the age part, its more the senile <sp> people come down here and try to drive over all lanes of traffic, switching lanes without looking, and makeing right turns from the left lane. if they could follow the laws, and flows of traffic it wouldn't be as bad. but when I jump on I-75 and all these old folks are doing 45 down the interstate it pisses me off. lol

BTW, would it be bad if I tell the people stay the hell out of Florida as they get on their shuttle?

BrandonDrecksage 04-28-2004 06:35 AM

noooooooooooooooooooooooo....they can't come to NJ...our roads are already fucked up enough from trophey moms in suvs rolling their suvs

Genom 04-28-2004 12:15 PM

And just yesterday I almost got t-boned by some old fart who aparently missed the large gray car hurtling at him down the road as he pulled out of a friggin restaurant parking lot. I cant wait for the ones in the Ft. Lauderdale area to get the hell out already. Every night I go out with my woman I have to be doging q-tips left and right. Enough already.

And wtf is up with all the old canucks who come down here? I swear there more Quebec tags in town than local ones.

MichRX7 04-28-2004 12:25 PM

I actually lived in Sarasota for a few years. Ended up selling my motorcycle because of the "old folk/tourist" phenomena...

Really you only get 30-45 days of rest a year. Next month all the vacationers show up and they are cutting you off so they don't miss their exit. About the time they leave all the old folks head down and are cutting you off because they can't SEE their exit.

It's a vicious cycle . . .

UniqueTII 04-28-2004 12:48 PM

That's why some of us choose to live where it snows...lol.

Gen2RXSeven 04-28-2004 03:11 PM

I hate snow, so I think I can deal with the old farts. I'm just glad they are starting to head out.

SoniX 04-28-2004 03:57 PM

Heh, I still live in Sarasota, and I have just as much of a problem with the soccer moms in their Maibatsu Monstrosities as I do with the old people who don't understand the concept of traffic flow. I almost beat the crap out of someone today in a suburban because I didn't pull away from the stop sign fast enough for them on my bike, and they decided to ride my ass and hit the horn, because her kids needed to get picked up from school or something, and she was late for her mocha latte enema.

defprun 04-28-2004 04:22 PM

I didnt know it was that bad! WOW!!!

The old people here stay old and stay here...and dont go away...lol

It's no good, man! They're probably headed to Atlantic City. They'll win big at the slots then come back and buy a house and a bigger car! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Gen2RXSeven 04-28-2004 08:16 PM

Nope, its a shuttle back to South Hampton NJ all of 51 passangers and their boats, uh, I mean cars (parking lot with so many crown vic and Grand Marq. you'd think it was a police convention.) are heading back up to their other homes up north.

boost_creep 04-28-2004 08:27 PM

I thought I was the only one foaming at the mouth about them there old farts. I avoid US1 only for that reason OLE FARTS. Send them back to the great white north..........PLEAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

boost_creep 04-28-2004 08:31 PM

OH and you ever tried to go to one of them all you can eat restuarants only to find out they are having the "Early Bird Special" now you have to wait to go eat because the parking lot looks like a OLD AGE CONVENTION.
