~english professor voice~ It would appear that a disc jockey is playing some 12" records on a turntable and it would appear the listener has the volume turned up possibly as high as it will go. Also the listener is beckoning for everyone who shares his likes in that particular genre to pull a lighter out of their pockets, light them, and hold them up in the air so as to give the disc jockey their respects. A rinse out would be a term stating that the disc jockey has played every hit record before the Disc jockey after him would have the chance to play some of those records..
