Ok i think my o2 sensor was welded by the turbo into the downpipe.
I'm using a half inch impact wrench with an o2 socket and the thing will not even budge!!! I just sprayed some liquid wrench on it and I'm letting it sit for a second. You guys have anymore ideas?? |
Leverage!!!

run the car, get it good and hot!!. then it should come out. it's the same principal as using a torch to heat up a rusty bolt so you can loosen it!

Jim you would laughed your ass off... I had a 26" breaker bar, then I took a 9" extension and a 6 " extension put them together, then put a large socket (large enought to fit over the breaker bar handle) and was grunting. I got nuthin. About 43" of leverage, and it brushed it off. I think I'm gonna have to take off the downpipe and use some real elbow grease. |
take the downpipe off so u get get more room to give her a good try

Get a propane torch..
Heat up the area around the oxygen sensor. I had to do that. |
