75 Repu 10-15-2005 09:51 PM

Rob x-7 10-15-2005 10:01 PM

why go to all that update trouble and then use a mazda engine?

75 Repu 10-15-2005 10:13 PM

thats a good point.. could've at least gone with the new flat six

j9fd3s 10-15-2005 10:28 PM

Very cool.

cymfc3s 10-15-2005 11:43 PM

Speaking of being good on gas, don't drink a lot coffee and eat peanut butter...

RotorDemon 10-16-2005 12:03 AM

Great it has an Interheater.

89 Rag 10-16-2005 12:20 AM

Hehe I was wondering how effective that would be back there https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png.

sweet7 10-16-2005 09:53 AM

I think its pretty damn cool personally. Although I dont think thats a 73. If so its has pretty extensive body modifications...

boxrs4sale 10-16-2005 11:19 AM

porsche4786 10-16-2005 01:10 PM

That's not a 73 that is a 993 which is 1995-1998, my dad has a 97

EDIT: Oh, I guess it says 993 conversion kit...

yeah the only difference between a 73 and a 93 is the bumpers, and fenders

I'm sure there is more than that, my friend down the street has a 73 and we have a 97, there is a lot different, not just the body, but the frame is different too i believe.

toplessFC3Sman 10-16-2005 06:07 PM

Wouldnt that require the addition of a completely new cooling system... cause i sure hope he's not counting on air alone to cool that engine. It just seems like more work than its worth, altho it is really cool. I doubt the intercooler is doin **** up there tho.

so its the type of person who wants people to think he is driving a more expensive car then he actually is?

kind of like the type of person who puts a porsche body kit on a FD?

UniqueTII 10-16-2005 06:15 PM

OMG THEY KILLED THE SOUL OF THE PORSCHE.

I like it, but it's still kinda weird.

75 Repu 10-16-2005 06:55 PM

I like it.. its different.. i like the seats..

inanimate_object 10-17-2005 08:55 AM

Wonder how they keep it cool? Can't be easy going from nothing to a big rad and oil coolers.

Mark

CletusFD3S 10-17-2005 11:01 AM

That thing sucks! Part of what makes that porsche nice is the flat six.

wanta be boosted 10-17-2005 04:50 PM

I've seen worse. There was a 70 something 911 targa on ebay that had a 350 chevy in the back of it..... Ewwwww.... I just threw up in my mouth a little thinking of that.

toplessFC3Sman 10-17-2005 10:37 PM

why would u want to INCREASE the polar moment of inertia of one of those cars with that huge hunk of iron sitting out beyond the rear wheels? Those things had enough problems with snap-oversteer if you werent careful to begin with!
