I have already thrown the post out with a big long list of features and most of you prolly went wow that is a lot and didn't read any of them (I would have done the same).



There were a ton of admin features added, search engine indexing, ban features, the list is way too long to even begin to tackle and for the most part none of those effect you guys.



First off let me say the upgrade went incredibly smooth, i spent a few minutes setting up a test forum, which I used as a temporary spot so you guys wouldn't go banana's while I did the upgrade. We had less then 20 minutes of downtime! You still did https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png What did we loose, pretty basic stuff with the exception of the portal, which needs a full re-write, i had an ssi file running for a few, which looked much like the portal, but decided just leave it forwarding directly to the forum for now, the link to the store and the links area are all the way at the top. I have not decided what I want to do with the portal, if I want to re-write, write my own or what, so for a bit it stays this way, the new code differs greatly from the old. Clickable cells...gone, will prolly return. GB feature is gone for a bit, but some it's features are not necesary as the new software contains them, no rush. Skins, going to come up with some whole new desigs new software is XHTML which should make for some pretty nifty skins.



Now let's get on to the important stuff, the things some may have already noticed, many are soon to discover and the ones that make our stay here at Nopistons even more pleasurable then in the past.



-The quickreply is now part of the software, integrated and located at the bottom, you can set it to always be there in your control panel.



-Personal photo option, this is open to everyone and found in your profile.



-Speed, speed, speed! Things are moving pretty quickly if you ask me, this is due to the new code, optimization of the db and a few other factors.



-Auto ThumbNail feature, upload a file, it will shrink it to a set size thumbnail, I think I set it at 150x150 but no sure.



-New skin is eye pleasing.



-Mini Profile (under each usersinfo in posts)



I will let you guys stumble accross the rest, have fun! If you have any suggestions, or questions please post them in the suggestion box.

Oh and thanks for the feedback too, it was a bit of work, but well worth it. We are looking pretty damn spiffy even if we are portaless in Seattle.

WOW ! ! Phins you have outdone yourself ! What a GREAT new look, VERY eye pleasing. The site looks awesome. I jsut logged on was like man this looks great.
