I didnt vote..and I know what your going to say about this but...
You should have an opening page with RX7s on it ...theres not much here showing anything about the RX7 ..no pics...No history on it ..not much.. You should have the history of the car with a couple pics on the front page or something.. Like how the started out as Project xxxx then turned into the RX7 in 1978 untill 2002 etc etc.. The only thing you see about RX7S as in pics...is your advertisemnts.. I know your gonna bitch and whine how I dont blha blah xxxxx what ever..but I want to know who else agrees on this... Dont you all think first apperance mean alot?How about some bad ass pics...bad ass flash or something.. And dont say well the dial up people *&^**%*...cause youshould have an option on the front page...slow connection click here...then it goes into the forum with no flash..then its up to the person if they want to book mark it there... |
Unfortunately as I have said a hundred times Nopistons.com is a forum, it's plain and simple, the portal design is what gets people into the forum and signing up AND posting.
Flash, photos on the front page, etc, etc.. do not work for a forum. Furthermore, I like CMS/Portal application, they are clean, easy to maintain and deliver a lot of data in a minimal amount of space, if you aren't smart enough to click a link to pics you aren't the demographic we are after here at Nopistons. Also there are several hundred search engine advantages to the current setup and the previous. Getting listed in the search engines is tricky at best, using pics, flash and frames will kill y our chances.

Well shouldnt this place be more than "just a forum'
Why not at lease a link to explain why this site..what is it about ..show some history on the rotary .. The maker and founder etc.. Show some info on what this site is for..to people who stop by and may not now what this is for or what about...it dont have to be flash..just show some pics and the concept of what a rotary engine is .. show the history of the rotarys in the US....ALL the RXs and R 100 ,Cosmos..etc. |

Ill Say it is definetly pretty awesome. I like the personal touch you added. When I saw my avatar and a nice hello as soon as I click on I was impressed.. but then again I know very little of the internet and I could barely find my way here and to the other forum.. :bigthumg:

Ok this is a place to come and talk and learn about rotarys.. Why not tell what your tring to preach about.. Show what a rotary engine is ..Who made it ..what it was for..when was it developed.. These are questions most of the people here probally dont know about.. Why not have a History link? Wouldnt you want more people going to your site to find info..instead of going to to others? Look here... That site has alot of good info.. I think we should have something with this concept...but on rotarys...not just 7s.. |
