Can you run airplane fuel in a rotary insteed of race gas. I have a buddy that flys planes he said at the airport they are only paying 2.60 for low-lead 100 octane prop fuel. Hell thats only 40 more cents a gallon and i can tune to run 100 octane all the time !!!! can this be done?

Sure can! Crank up the boost too!
|
not good for n/a's i take it?
|
**** i'm deff turning up the boost! if this turns out to be true this is goin to be very very cool. Hell turbo blue race gas costs over 5.15 a gallon, screw that go to the airport!!!! He said something about other grades of gas like Jet A any one know the octane ratings and info on this stuff?

if ever you come to jersey, i'd like about 20gallons please
|
It works just fine. Ive been known to run it occasionally. BUT, its going to severely shorten the life of your O2 sensor and cat if you have one.

the gas I fill up on, would be gone by the time I get back home from the airport...basically, it's a long drive and still with no 5th gear on the highway...think about it fellaz

You need a good hookup. I used to work at an Airfield too in 1983 and back then 105 Unleaded Av-Fuel was $2.25 a gallon. Hmmmm... So in 20 years Av-Fuel has only gone up $0.15. Makes you wonder.
Same with Can-Am its price never changes but the regular pump gas does. |
Umm this might sound pretty dumb but ... Where do you get "race" gas? LOL
(just curious) |
