Well I been out of town for the last week getting ready for a new motor to be put into my TII. When we opened my motor to port it today my mechanic said look you got the new apex seals in your motor. I said new? He said yea it's Mazda's new design and they're supposed to be stronger. Basically the seal was one solid piece except for the little trianlge piece at the end and it came with one spring per seal(I think). Has anybody else heard anything about Mazda changing thier seal design? He also said that they were same seals that are being used in the Renesis. Is there any more info on this out there that I can read up on?

Thanks man that puts a little more light on the subject. Has Mazda release any articles on this?

This also makes me feel better knowing that those that already have them are having great success with them.

how long ago did they introduce the new seal designs? I had my rebuild about 1.5 years ago now from mazda and wonder if they'd used these new seals or was it the old ones.
