I know I haven't finished my first project, hehe, but I need a backlog so I was able to pick this up from Mazdaspeed7 this weekend:
It was a lot of fun trying to fit eveything INSIDE the car and in the back of my dad's truck, but we managed to pull it off with no problems at all. Maybe this time next year I can start something with it...I will most definitely do nothing less than a 20b when the time comes. I want to sell the wheels and probably some other parts off the car in the meantime. http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0420.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0421.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0422.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0423.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0424.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0425.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0426.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0427.jpg http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg419q/FD/100_0428.jpg |
Yeah but in all honesty, it's my dream car, and what better way to build it then from the bare chassis?
It's a life-size lego model! w00t! Don't worry guys, I'm going to do this thing right...I'll sell the wheels on a local ricer forum https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png. |
wow. and to think that chassis only has about 35k on it.... after seeing all that, i hope you didn't pay 10 grand for it like he wanted.
YIKES ! |
Good luck with that!
|
Thats a project alright!
|
whoa, that's a project times 10.

YIKES !
LOL, who in their right mind would pay $10K for that! It has no engine or trans, it's just a chassis. Try removing a 0 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png. |

so is there structural damage?
Nope. And I have all the pieces, they're either in the car or in my garage.
look at the front shot, does that look twisted to you guys
It's not sitting level at all, it's the asphalt not the car. |
So why was the car taken apart and hacked up so bad if there is no frame damage?
First thing Iw ould do is finish stripping the car down to metal only, have it dipped or blasted and coated with etching epoxy primer. The last thing you want to do is fix pitting surface rust which is a huge PITA and big $$$$$ |
