A house. Then you can invite your buds from Nopistons and they can help mod your car for the cost of beer(cheap beer https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR )

Good work, I'd bet that a house forum would tell you to put the money into the car!!!

AgentSpeed 08-27-2003 01:00 AM

House is a good investment. Keep the car in the garage or the living room if possible!

Baldy 08-27-2003 08:23 AM

house appreciates (trailer=not house)

car depreciates (in most cases)

nah, I don't like when people use "trailer trash," I know lots of people in trailers. I was just under the impression that modular homes depreciated. (at least that's what I was told in personal finance class https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif)

banzaitoyota 08-27-2003 08:40 AM

This is where you have to use your intellagence to seperate the truth from the crap they throw at you in school.

Joe-BOB and Betty-Lou buy a 26K Single wide and park it in the trailerpark = BIG TIME depreciation

Johnney and Suzey shell out 80K for a modular and set it up with a permanent foundation on land = REAL ESTATE

ah, right, land. yeah, that makes all the difference.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif I can't wait to buy land. I'll be a white land-owner, then I can vote!

banzaitoyota 08-27-2003 08:46 AM

Damn LINCOLN and GRANT!!! They ruined a good thing in the South

SpecialT 08-27-2003 10:38 AM

House, you can borrow against the equity you build in your house to do your car.

So you and your car both win!

Man get a house! You can allways come back to your car and do things to it.A house is more important than a car dont ya think.

UniqueTII 08-27-2003 11:25 AM

You have to either get a helluva deal on the house, or do a lot of work to get equity right away.

Good choice, though!!

SpecialT 08-27-2003 11:27 AM

Well, 10,000 down is a good start!

fritzfry 08-27-2003 11:27 AM

...house, for sure...

although correct about home equity loan or line of credit, I wouldn't do it unless you are disciplined financially and you immediately pay off any balances, and especially don't do it unless you're gonna cut up your credit cards 'cause it can fast get outta control.....so I've been told (cough!)[ahem!]... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

Plus.. You can be certain you will have a safe place to keep your car once you do get it.. and you can kill anyone who tries to nab it if they are on your property..

With interest rates down and home values in the toilet, now is an excellent time to purchase a home. When the market finally recovers you will have the equity in your home to do a home equity loan, if you choose to do so.

Turbo II 08-27-2003 12:18 PM

let me borrow a money so i buy a car
