i kinda noticed i dont pay much attention to the words at all, while most women i know, really only listen to the words

Baldy 05-27-2008 12:42 PM

Sometimes I like a song, then I listen to the words, and then hate the song. But other times the words are what make the song great.

Dunno about women though.

Yeah, it's the music for me. The only way I get half the lyrics is if I read them.

same as baldy, the music gets me to listen then msot of the times the words disappoint me.

but there's always a couple songs where the music is barely anything special but the words themselves are awesome.

kevin.

Lyrics. It has to have good music to it, but lyrics are what seperates the songs I really like from the ones that are mediocre. Poor lyrics, and it may as well be elevator music. Good for filling silence, but usually when I listen to music, I want more from it.

Completely agree here. And about women, who DOES know about women?

Err music AND lyrics help.

But really good music or musical talent can trump lyrics any day.

I like J. S. Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. No lyrics!

Mastodon > Bach IMO.
