I HATE moving mattresses! I don't even know why some manufacturers put those "handles" on the sides, they're completely useless (unless you're trying to rip a hole in your mattress).

hahahha

I helped a friend move recently, lightest queen sized mattress of all time!! Gotta get the model number in case I ever need a new one. No handles though, don't know what they were thinking

Pussies! Mattresses are easy. Try moving pianos. A couple friends and I were probably almost killed carrying a piano up a flight of stairs many years ago, before I had acquired the wisdom to know that I should leave such things to a team of professionals. And then there was the other time when I was moving the same piano into a different apartment and knocked the big plate glass window out in the lobby. At least the staircase in that building was wide enough to actually get the piano up the stairs.

For the record, the piano in question was a full-sized upright made by Walter D. Moses & Co. of Richmond, Va. around 1915. I'm guessing it weighed about 800 pounds.

what kind of sucker moves a piano more than once?

at least it was an upright! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.gif

The piano player was living with me at the time!

I've got a baby grand, it was hassle enough moving it from one end of the room to the other to tile the floor. I'll pay someone to move it when that time comes.

Supposedly Ray Charles used to play on this piano as a kid, my wife's family bought it at auction from a school in St. Augustine, a school for the deaf and blind.

yeah i think the mattress is as big as i can go without help

TYSON 03-17-2009 03:53 PM

if you could get a hold of the damn things it would be so much easier!!!
