who here rides a motorcycle and what kind do you have? I just got my first and it's a 2005 suzuki gs500f.

phinsup 09-29-2005 08:54 PM

I have ridden for 10 years, currently riding a 99 GSX-R 750 which I will stick with for some time, it's been the best bike I have owned or ridden to date.

Although I don't ride as much as I like to right now as I have no job.

Have you ridden a gsx-r 600? Is the 750 quite a bit quicker?

phinsup 09-29-2005 09:03 PM

It's quicker no doubt, but in recent years the 600 has been brought up to par with FI and various upgrades, certainly a great bike. I had a 600cc katana before this 750 and I found myself riding the **** out of it and looking for more so I did a fairly big upgrade, lighter, more hp.

I wouldnt really say anything of the GSX-R's are weak kneed.

I have a 2005 Kawasaki KX250 equipped to desert race, a 2003 Honda CRF50, and a Blata pocketbike

teknics 09-30-2005 04:21 AM

Hasnt honda just updated the CBR600, i think it is, if this is the right bike im thinking about they have a new black one with ghost flames that is supposively pretty nice.

I have an '01 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. I got an '81 Yamaha Virago, worked on it for a year, drove it for a year, then got the Spirit new in '01. So I guess I've been riding for 5 years. I'm ready for a big sport bike, all I need is the winning lottery ticket. I've been drooling over the BMW motorcycles lately.

Honda shadow VLX 600, stroked to ~685cc. Cobra pipes, dynojet carb jets, Custom intake, lowered 1", lots and lots of chrome goodies.

This bike is suprisingly fast for a smaller v-twin.

HIMNI RACING 10-03-2005 01:08 AM

I ride, on and off road. I started riding off-road when I was itty-bitty. A little 50cc Honda https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Hell, my mom discovered she was pregnant with me after she wrecked a mini-bike & had to go to the hospital. LOL Right now I have a CBR900RR, YZ250, a DR80 (for car shows and at the track) 400Ex and a 300EX ( Quads )

I want another street bike but I just can't bring myself to let go of my 900RR. I've done so much work to it just to hand it off...damn sh!t!

l8t apex 10-03-2005 08:52 AM

Thats not a thumper, although it makes loud obnoxious noises. Thumpers have 1 Cylinder, you do know about the number 1 right?

CrashFactory 10-03-2005 10:55 AM

1987 Suzuki RM60 :P Maybe a 1978 Suzuki TS75 in my future also...gotta start small....
