Well, I was on my way home from work, just about to turn onto my street when I look over at the auto shop just to the right. Sure enough I spot a little MGhidden in the back of the lot. So I go home grab the digital cam and decided to post some pics.
It's definetly a project car, and needs more time/money than I have. I don't think it's going anywhere, lol, maybe in a year or two if it's still there it might be worthwhile. Well, I've made you read a bunch of bullshit, so here are the pics. |

Sorry I didn't get any engine shots sorry ran out of disk space
|
i love those things, theyre such cool cars.
that would be a hell of a project, but maybe you could get it for $200 or something |
damn that needs soem work
|
We crush MG's that look like that!!!
|
i'd pay $50 for it and make a race car out of it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Maybe make it slightly bearable put in a new engine, tranny, and wheels and auto-x it. |
I'll make you a hell of a deal on a 81 X1/9
|
In that sort of shape they should pay YOU to take it away. As far as I know there are at least three Midget/rotary beasts around here in the Seattle area. I wonder how many there really are that I don't know about. The power to weight with those things and the output of, let's say, even a stock 12A is pretty damn good.
That Midget might be too far gone. You'd spend too much money and time just to get the car itself ready to begin a serious project. Find a better example. They're out there and they're cheap. This one would be good for a parts car unless you're really masochistic(sp?) and want to make this the project car. |

It would still be fun to auto-x it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif, but too much $$ for me to get it running just to beat the piss outa it |
True dat! As long as it'll pass tech you can run the wheels off of it. But I like the way you're thinking with such a miniscule car for a project. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

WOW, I am not sure that was worth the time to take the pics LOL, it's in pretty sad shape, my uncle has one, fun cars, pain in the ass to work on and expensive for parts, but hey doesn't mean I wouldn't love to have one LOL

Put a rotary in it! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Listen to this man! He has seen the light! Incredible power to weight ratios without even trying.

Honestly, I thought you were gonna say that there's a little person that lives down the street from you.

That's an MGB, not a Midget . . . and yeah, it needs help https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
J |
MGBs actually have a bit more room under the hood. It's easier to put a rotary in them. Do it! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Its BRITISH its RUSTY and has LUCAS Electrics; WTF else do you want?
|
I might pick it up...IF I had a place to put it. I mean, yeah it is pretty bad, but I was gonna basically take the whole thing apart anyway if I bought one, so it isn't that big a deal, BUT I still don't have a place to put it, and like I said a few posts ago, I don't think it's going anywhere fast https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

there's some guy by me with a handful of those, keeps them in a heated garage and ****, he took i think 3 of them out this weekend, everytime i saw him he was in a different one, and i saw him three times so you do the math lol.
oh and i also think i saw the car j9 has, the tr4 or something, at least it was fairly similar, but it was a different guy. kevin. |
oh man that is junk already
|
We have midgets down the street too.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
