Yup, i've had magazines being sent to me just because i attended the boat show. They pay for the costs by ads, not subscribers, the more "subscribers" they have the more the advertisers pay. I somehow got on one of the corvette magazines lists.

I filled out a grocery survey once that promised free magazines, based on my demographics. They sent me, unwrapped, Penthouse, Oui and Swank.. Many raised eyebrows and dirty looks from the small town mail sorting ladies after that..

Lol, At the time, I was about 20, single, not in a relationship, attending technical college... Apparently thats a direct linkage to porn..

I paid $33 for 3 years of Motor Trend. I think that was over 5 years ago, but I still get it every month. I love Motor Trend.

I don't get free anything unless i pry it from the hands of children or the elderly.

i need to subscribe, apparently you save alot more thatr way lol.. I always just go to the store and look around to see what catches my eye..

Oh, yeah. The magazines love you. What is it, like 5 or 6 bucks a copy? I just threw an offer for a year of Automobile for 6 bucks in the trash.

I honestly don't like magazines, they annoy the **** out of me. Page after page of ads and very little substance in the articles and in many cases the articles themselves are covert advertisements.

There's a GREAT car mag called 0-60 its VERY VERY good. When even the ads interest you, it tells you something.

**** nowadays most mags seem like pamphlets.. now they all have "exclusive" online content for subscribers and **** like that.. I subscribe cuz i want the damn articles in the Magazine damnit!

i once purchased 2 magazines cause they had rotary content, only to come home and realize that like 2 of the other, non rotary, features were exactly the same in both mags...

i also remember when turbo mag was like 3/4" now its like 1/8".

internet killed the magazine star....

Yeah that bridal magazine is ******* fat too, once dropped one on my toe while reaching for another, i had to limp home that day. Popular Mechanics/science both got slimmed down.
