[rant]I ******* hate the Internet, its all pop-ups, porn and broken links.



Yet I love it cos its also got heap of information that I could never find anywhere else.



I'm trying to find a) A photoshop plugin for saving WBMP images and b) NES roms I can download.



Last night "smart search" took over my pc. (yes Im using XP). I edited my registry and I'm hoping its fucked off. Not that I'm going to reboot for a while. It blocked spybot and ad-aware from running which was a piss off.

How'd you kill smart search?

its looking for nes roms that will do that. you have to know trusted sites..



like edge emu, but last time i was there, theyre servers were down. but they have a big library, no popups.

I don't know if i have yet. I use registry first aid to search for the smartsearch string in the registry. Deleted all entries, then reset the web settings. I ran ad-aware and spybot after that, customizing adaware to search the entire computer plus internet sites etc.. Its working at the moment, but as i said, i haven't rebooted.
