It's impossible to bend light that severely without an extreme gravitational force (a black hole for instance). It has to be set up somewhere to the left of the corner.

I've seen it but I don't remember how it went. I guess I'd have to see it again, but it's still impossible for it to do what you are saying it does without the use of a mirror. If the point is indeed to the right of the corner, you'd need a mirror to get it on that side.
Or we can keep it simple and go with my idea. They probably switched shots to make it look fancier. |
