I'm having so many problems with my rx-7 that i need to do something with it. i have already replaced the engine a few months ago and i am already having flooding problems. the EGI fuse trick doesn't even work anymore and i have done the atf procedure twice now (and bought new plugs both times). i saw the jetta at a local car dealership and thought it looked kinda cool, plus it has the bigger 6 in it and is an extremely nice looking clean car. what do you think?
|
btw i plan on taking either one to the track in Denver on Sept. 6th and 7th
|
at least get the 7 in a running condition, that way you might get more trading it in. Actually, I believe you get more if you sell to a private party, rather than use it as trade-in.
|
i hate front wheel drive! although those jettas handle well and are pretty quicks
|
isn't this kind of comparing apples and monkeys?

I think Jettas are bitch cars.

I've owned two Jettas. Didn't like either.
FWD sucks. VW is the Ford of Germany.. so everything freaking breaks constantly. VW gouges for service (although coming from an Rx.. it may not be that bad). Don't bother suping it up. Unless you have drags on, a FWD car isn't going anywhere fast. Even if you have drags on Physics is working against you. If I had to get another I'd probably get the VR6 with leather. But I'd rather castrate myself with a toothpick first. The VW might be a less expensive car in the long run than the 7. But if you like having a sports car the VW is not for you. If you have any more specific questions feel free to shoot 'em my way. |
alright! who told me to walk!? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

**** the Jetta, if you want a VR6 get a Corrado. Mine handled so well, and was damn quick! Plus the Corrado has a nice body style, not like a jetta that you see 1 million of them on the road every day
|
the corrados are nice. my bro had one before then went to a 325. if i were to get a vw it would have to be a 1.8T. jetta, gti, jetta wagon, passat, wouldnt matter. arent corrados hard to find now a days jay?

I think they made it AWD now... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png |
yeah EIP was just getting a name for itself when I started my corrado from hell. Those fuckers told me that if I bought a turbo kit from them and they were not the one's to install it I would have no warranty on any of the parts. That was some fucke up ****, especially becouse back then, there were no turbovr6(hey, my name https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR) cars running around and they wanted about $7500 for their kit.
So I sourced out my own ****, made 340 to the wheels, and snapped axles every week. hence I sold the car |
keep the 7
|
dont get a jetta over a 7 I just got a 1,8t for the commute and all I can say I wish I went for the sports package
