Hey guys I just got off the phone with a reputable source and this person told me that the Jacobs wires tend to mess with your ignition. This person said that let so much electrical intererenece through to your ignition system that your motor will knock and ping because of it. This person also told me that if you continue to use these wires that you might blow your motor. They suggested that I change my wires to the MSD 8.5mm wires. They said that the Jacobs wires cost them 3 motors. They said that when they went with the MSD wires this problem went away because the MSD wires were better and protected against this problem. The reason that I am not mentioning this person's name is because I don't want to give them a bad rep if they are wrong. Has anybody experienced these problems with Jacobs wires? Is anybody using the MSD wires? If so have you had any problems with them? Do they seem to do a good job(MSD wires)? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

the jacobs boots dont fit on the coils well, and the wire falls off and kills the coil

Ok that settles it. The Jacobs wires are going in the **** can. BTW the person that gave me this info was Steve Kahn at Gotham racing. I will be ordering some of the MSD 8.5mm wires when gets back with me on the price. If anybody else is using Jacobs wires and wants to get some of the MSD wires call Steve at Gotham racing.
