Is anyone else following the progress on this station?

This thing is massive, to hell with the stats they "release" on the website, how come there is never a picture of anything next to it that we can draw a point of reference from? space walking people, the shuttle docked next to it?



My guess is that they are full of **** and lying to us!

They claim the solar array is 240' from left of the hull to right of the hull and the shot was taken from the shuttle at 400' away, now, we have all seen solar panels at one point or another, on an individual basis what size would you say one panel was?



There are 84 panels on one side (including the orange colored ends) even if my interpretation of the description is wrong and one side of the array is 240 feet it works out to 2.86 feet per panel...at 400' feet away? I think it's double that, which puts one side of the array at at staggering 480.48 ', making the wingspan of the array's 960.96 feet, without the added section of the hull. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png



That is equal to nearly 97 floors or stories in a high rise buliding!



What in the hell do we need something that huge in space for?



What else are they not telling us?

We need some frickin sharks with frickin lazer beams attached their frickin heads.
