So I come home from work to a convulsing dog. My mom had called me, but I didn't get to call her back til I was on my way home. Turns out my dog had been having seizures all night. We finally found vet hospital open, and took her down there, but I couldn't afford an exam, and since she hadn't moved on her own in a few hours, I had no choice but to have her put down. It sucked, I had had her since I was 7, I grew up with her, but at least now she's not in pain.

Sorry to hear that, losing animals is tough. Get a new dog to cheer yourself up with.

And yes I have to say this....dog gone it.

banzaitoyota 09-16-2005 07:44 PM

Sorry to hear about your loss

rowtareh 09-16-2005 07:48 PM

That is so not cool. At least the dog is not in pain anymore. I know how it is to have to put dogs down. They just get old, worn out, or get sick, it happens.

Anyhow, get another dog, a puppy preferably, and have a blast, but always remember your dog. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

my dog had something very similar happen to her awhile back, a little over a year ago. out of nowhere she started having seizures, so we took her to the emergency animal vet and they told us she might have been doing it all along and we just never noticed and she was epileptic. so we left her there over the night, but she died early in the morning, they did a few tests to see what was wrong but nothing came up... so i know exactley what it feels like, and im sorry.

GreyGT-C 09-17-2005 08:37 AM

sorry to hear that Krystal.

Rx7Widow 09-17-2005 12:28 PM

Thank you guys, we're doing pretty good, gonna give it a few weeks and then start looking in the shelters for another dog. The hardest thing is explaining it to my daughter who keeps looking for her.
