He's just a flight instructor who teaches a ground class. Doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about, just that he can read a book and explain it.

so if the rotor has 4 points, does that make it sqaure?

Well my rotary presentation went good. I talked for about 30 minutes, and had an in depth conversation with the class when they started asking questions. It was pretty cool.
LOL, basically. But he did thank me at the end of class. I got all into it, brought my housing and rotor, drew pictures to illistrate the setup of the engine, explained how the ports are setup, apex seal options, air/fuel ratios, weight vs hp, reliability and tuning, talked about rotaryaviation.com and gave examples related to airplanes. Just stuff off the top of my head. People were like so do you have your A&P, and I was like no just a hobby. I wanted to say no but i've read the rotary forums online for the past 6 years. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif I think my favorite question asked was: so where did you get these engine parts? me: well I was tuning one of my cars to 500hp and blew an apex seal. |
Cool story.
