Here's the deal.... the body shop manager went to pick the 8 up from the alignment shop and on the way back to the dealership it was vibrating really bad. Once back, he put it up on a rack to see what the problem might be. (Now, I find this interesting.... just why in hell wasn't my car put up on a rack to start with to make sure there was no damage anywhere other than what was visible from the topside??????) I asked them the first week she was in the shop if they had checked and I was told that they had checked EVERYTHING. Hmmph....obviously a LIE! They've now found that she has a broken motor mount. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Can anyone tell me if this might be a serious issue once it's been replaced and if there is anything else that I need to make them check on Tuesday (the new return-to-me date) before I leave the shop & preferably while I'm standing there watching them check?

A motor mount is a pretty minor thing. FD motor mounts break monthly practically....I have one broken right now. Shouldn't take them that long to fix unless they have to wait to get one in.

T, are you telling me to stop worrying? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

Someone told me to have them check the PPF and the driveshaft since the motor mount is broken. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

Dude, that is a pretty shitty shop. Usually at a dealer, they will send you a survey when you bring your car in for warranty work done, and just **** them on the survey. They will eventually get the **** straight.

It's what is happening at our dealership, and the manager could give two fucks about it too. Stupid service manager, he is such a dickwad.

Yeah don't worry. With a broken motor mount all its gona do is allow the engine to move around more than it should. Usually, at least on my FD's, it was never that noticable untill you started doing something in the engine bay and noticed how sloppy it was. Maybe not a bad idea to have them check the PPF and driveshaft.
