I was looking for something like an older toyota or mazda., but anyting will do. Under $1000. I think I would prefer a 4cyl. to save on gas. An older SUV would be ok too, like an old land cruiser. But those are hard to find.

I dont know about the differnt types of trucks out there since I was nevre a truck guy. Any suggestions as to which older truck are good?

I'm looking for suggestions on specific models that I can search for.

I got a truck for sale...I'm only asking like $150 cause its not in that great shape. If you can afford $300, and get a trailer, I can give you an extra truck. The running truck is a 1987 Nissan single cab. The non-running truck (just needs a tranny, which the running truck has) is a 1989 Nissan single cab, with a lift kit, bigger wheels/tires, and an extra roll bar. The running truck (blue) needs new body parts like the bed, etc. but the (red) non-running truck has a good body on it. The motor is also better in the red truck, if you'd want to swap it over. I was going to swap the bed, fenders, hood, doors, ad front gille from the 89 to the 87 myself, but I don't have time or a place to do it. Like I said, if you can get a trailer to get the other truck out of my father-in-law's yard, you can have both for $300, and make one hell of a nice truck out of them.

old jeeps are the cheapest things around, mainly cause theres no real comfort factor lmao. it all depends on what you want out of a beater truck really, each has its own good and bad sides.

IM me at KyrmseGalore. I have a pic of the red truck but not of the blue truck. The blue truck looks rough and could use the suspension from the red truck to make it ride nicer, but I use it as a daily driver at the moment. It would really benefit from the other motor and suspension and bed though....seriously...

Where were you a year ago? My wife and I sold an '89 Mazda B2200 5-speed for around a grand, I think. It had a lot of miles, and the engine was using some oil, but it ran good. Mazda B-series and Toyota Tacoma would be my first choices for little trucks. Nissans are pretty durable too. And a friend of mine had pretty good luck with a Ford Ranger. You should be able to find one pretty cheap. There are tons of them out there.

I could sell you my '85 Chevy C-30 Silverado Duallie, but it's not real good on gas, and I'd need a bit more than a grand for it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
