I figure I would share this with you guys. I was a little stressed out today and I went for a cruise with my Rx8. I ended up visiting a buddy that has a small race car chassis shop. When I got there it was pure rotary engine madness.
1) one full tube chassis 1971 toyota corolla sporting a 13B cosmo turbo charged engine with a nice dose of methanol (engine hitting the 12,000 rpm rev limiter) for my ears to pleasure on. 2) 1977 Mazda Rx3-Sp with a 12A bridgeport turbo charge, and revving up real nice 3) 1988 turbo II sporting some weld racing skinnies in the front and a bigger single turbo revving up real nice and boosting pretty decent. 4) 1985 first gen. with a series 4 13B bridgeport N/A and revving up to 11,500 :-) 5) my other buddies street legal 9.9 @144mph 1985 Rx7, took me for a ride and I was a little bit happier. 6) 1982 toyota corolla 1/2 chassis sporting a 13B bridgeport with nitrous oxide, he also revved the engine up for me. finally i had no choice but to put bounce the renesis engine of the 9,200 rpm rev limiter for about 8 seconds. all these rotary powered cars will be test and tunning tomorrow at our local race track. If I had a video camera with me today, I would had made many forum members happy. Man I love the rotary engine. The rotary gods new that being placed in that temporary environment would help with my bad day. I take a bow to the rotary gods https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png |

Very cool Ito. Sounds like you were blessed with all that rotary power. We don't have that much where I am. Just two. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png
Can't wait to meet you at Rotorfest. Will the RX-3 SP be in attendance as well? |

thanks and yes the Rx3, Rx8 and my kids 91 vert will be there.
Dys85, if it does not catch 9 sec 1/4 miles, it will be good in the coolness factor for me. |
SWEET!
Rotaries rule. There is nothing quite like the rotary smoothness and sound. |

Damm it, I miss my Rx7. I like to hear about people with Rx7 FB in the 9's. Just hearing your story, made me fill better. Maybe I should get another FB. |
