one thing is your picture is more or less into the sun and it creates a glare off of the carm if that is what you were going for good job but i think it would have turned out much better facing the other way with the sun on the engine bay.

No one in their right mind wants a ride in this car when I'm driving anyway. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

There are a few reasons I didn't do that. First, there was really no place safe to park facing west for the initial shots, so I didn't want to park my car in a spot that she'd get plowed. Second, my intercooler center section is painted black and with the sun directly on it, it tends to wash out and look a sickly gray color. Not good. Third, the shot with the hood open wasn't really to show the engine bay in detail, just to show off the shiny bits on top, and so you could see that it's not stock. All the polished parts would have thrown quite a bit of their own glare if the sun had been directly on them, and the fenders and bumper would likely have gotten washed out if I had the exposure time long enough to show the darker engine parts. I took some other pics later for the detail shots. Finally, this car is all about curves, so I wanted a light angle that accentuated that. Silver is a good color to shoot in hard light for me, because you can get such drastic shade change over the length of the car, going from looking white at the back to a darker almost gunmetal at the nose. The lighting may have been a bit too harsh for that shot, but I like the over contrasted stuff, what can I say? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Actually, that car is registered at my grandparent's house in Amarillo, because there is no way my car will pass Vegas smog legally. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yeah, I though out the pics as well as I could. I took two years of photography in college, but I still like to break the mold as much as I can. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
