I'm pretty close to that now, but it's on the passenger's side. Why should they get all the posh treatment?

i dont have any pics yet, i'm being lazy. i washed and waxed it today, ive actually been driving it around, the only thing wrong is the water seals, logicon and the wiper switch.
2 out of three will get fixed too. for $500 bucks we're in good shape mike |
From what I've been told the trany smells like burnt fluid because the fluid will get into the rear housing and build up. This happens everytime you shift because of the seals on the 3 shifter rods. You shift and move a rod and the seals allow fluid in. when you finish the seals do thier job. They seal and don't let the fluid back into the gear box. over time the fluid builds up and overflows through the hole for your shifter. Once it overflows it gets burnt on the tranny housing and produces the nasty burnt fluid smell. The way to fix is to remove all but one of the seals on all the rods. this will allow the fluid to get back into the gear box.
