I got pulled over earlier tonight. I was doing 77 in a 60, oops! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif It was the first time I'd gotten pulled over in the AE. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png The cop was pretty cool though, he let me off with a warning. :P But I was really nice to him, did some ass kissing. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I think it worked well.

:o damn, i almost got caught for going 90 in a 30 one time

sidewinderx7 06-11-2002 02:39 PM

Thats alright, not too long ago i was doing 70 in a 35 and a cop had set up a speed trap. He clocked me and then i saw him, and i knew i was already caught, so i busted my first left and did a drift move then busted my first right into a apartment complex, turned off my lights and drove to the end. I looked back on the street and the cop flew by with his lights blasting, then i drove the other way and left the city for awhile. :-D

The fine is nothing, wait until your insurance goes up for 3 years and 4 months now!

When do you renew your policy? That's when they'll find out.

rota-re 06-13-2002 09:51 AM

I've got 6 months to go on my policy....

my car got caught, there is no evidence that i was driving because it was only a photo, maybe i can bend the truth a little...

Getting out of a photo ticket is nearly impossible, and in most states, as soon as you argue, you're guilty.

vosko 06-13-2002 01:16 PM

i'm lucky no tickets, no accidents note*on my record* :P

Nope. I wanna say they stay on your insurance record for 5 years? Can anyone correct me on that?

UniqueTII 06-13-2002 03:45 PM

It's 3 years for a ticket and 4 for an accident in NY, I think.

Lucky!

My record is about a page long. Although I only have 1 speeding ticket on there. But I do have a Negligent driving in the 2nd deg. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif Cops don't like it when you drink and drive, I blew a .049. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png

Rob x-7 06-13-2002 06:41 PM

Its 18 months on your license in New York, from the date of conviction. Its 3 years and 4 months on your insurance from the date of conviction. Obviously violations that arent moving violations wont be on there, such as equipment tickets. Photo tickets wont go on your license because who is to say who was driving the car at the time, in New York we have red light cameras, red light will raise your insurance 50%, but if its a photo ticket, its only a fine. Your current policy may not pick up on it, but if you have violations such as stop light, red light, reckless driving, speeding, etc... you cant get away from it. We happen to have very high rates here in New York as is, im sure in other parts of the country they are better.

Twin89Stangs 06-13-2002 06:46 PM

lol will let ya know here in mo pretty soon here....

88 in a 60.... which is b/s!!!!

I will be fighting this one! got a lawyer and all cause the cop says he was tailing me for a while. which means he saw the girl going 90-100 and nearly ripping my front end off!!!

*******!

Rob x-7 06-13-2002 06:48 PM

If he says your speed based on tailing you, then he has to have a second person in the car.

Twin89Stangs 06-13-2002 06:57 PM

True... another thing is.... there was no way I was doing 88 in traffic! Plus if he was tailing me for as long as he says he was then he should of seen the bitch cut me off! I am fighting this one! Oh by the way he only had a rear mount radar no front mount one! He also took my insurance papers! Nice huh? So he left me driving illegally!!!! I will be bringing the up in court also! How he kept my paper work! What would of happened if I got pulled over again that night or got into a wreck? NO proof of insurance!!!

ryan 06-14-2002 09:14 AM

Having the actual proof of insurance card in your vehicle really doesn't matter that much. My brother got pulled over one time, didn't have it in the car, and the cop told him that if he showed someone at the courthouse his proof of insurance within the next two weeks he would be fine. The cop was just trying to make you be more cautious on the ride home, that's all. Not sure if it's legal for him to take your proof of insurance, though...

Twin89Stangs 06-14-2002 11:38 AM

Its not and it pissed me off!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png

But what else should I expect from the po po's?
