If a drunk driver were to crash through our gated driveway, and our dog were to escape, and he happened to wander into my neighbor's yard, and my ******* dickhead of a neighbor were to shoot the dog dead, am I responsible for getting the dog's body? (no this did not happen, but I'm severely pissed at my neighbor for some things he said to my wife)

jackboots 12-27-2004 12:28 PM

No.

You are responsible for tying your ******* dickhead of a neighbor up and making small cuts all over his body with broken glass and pouring hydrochloric acid in them so that he dies slowly and painfully from blood loss and/or toxic shock.

What did he say to your wife?

Baldy 12-27-2004 12:34 PM

Pretty much that our dog has been doing a bunch of things that we know he hasn't been doing, and that he wants us to keep our dog locked up in a kennel (within our fenced yard), and he'll kill it if by some freak accident he gets out and wanders in his yard.

This guy is just an all-around *******, I've spoken with him on many occasions about stuff in general. Even talks to his step-kids like they're dirt.

If someone else is responsible for killing our 80 lb. dog, he's going to have to take care of the body, not me.

Baldy 12-27-2004 12:43 PM

bah, just consider this a rant, not an open discussion on canine behavior. Wife is on her way to buy privacy fence to put between our yard and his.

jackboots 12-27-2004 12:54 PM

What a douche.

You should ban him.

Shane.Trammell 12-27-2004 12:56 PM

if he shoots your dog on his property its his problem. setting up a camera wouldnt be a bad idea

Sinful7 12-27-2004 02:40 PM

If he shoots your dog on his property, not only is the body his problem, but the animal cruelty felony chages are his problem too.

good fences make good neighbors

A couple of the panels are up. The neighbor came over and asked my father-in-law, "wouldn't it be easier to get rid of the dog?" he replies, "we're not like that." I thought that was a cool thing to say.

Rob x-7 12-28-2004 09:16 AM

I think it would be easier to get rid of the neighboor.

Sinful7 12-28-2004 09:25 AM

I think you should start crapping in his yard.

Shane.Trammell 12-28-2004 12:20 PM

Yes! Vigilante justice. After you **** in his yard, take some of the **** and shove it underneath his car door handle.

Whats the dog doing? I know that I was tempted to kill a neighbors dog that kept barking at all hours of the night and early morning. It was just plain rude and irresponsible of the neighbor to let his dog make that much noise. I know here there are city ordinances that will fine the owner of the dog if its a nusuance. When I was a kid the neighbor up on the hill across from us had a doberment pincher that use to chase after me. My uncle asked the people a couple times to keep the dog on their property because it was dangerous, and I was like 7 years old getting chased up trees by a killer dog. They didn't listen and he killed the thing and dropped it off on their porch.

When he was younger, and still in his puppy phase, he was a little more agressive. Neighborhood kids would pester him; throw rocks at him and smash their bikes against our fence (at least this is the only stuff I witnessed). So he would bark at kids who walked by. Once the neighbor's daughter ran up to our gate quickly, and he jumped up and nicked her a little on her arm (I'm not exaggerating). The neighbor said he was cool with it, the dog was just doing his job of protecting the property. That was months, maybe over a year ago, I'm not sure. Since then he's really calmed down. I'll see people in the yard next door, and people walking by, and he doesn't get all worked up. He only barks at large, loud trucks, and other dogs, naturally. And I've been malicious about people shutting the gate behind them (it's a gated driveway).

So when my father-in-law leaves the gate open, and the dog gets out and chases a kid on a bike (supposedly, I never saw what happened, this is just what he claims happened), I was pissed. My wife was inside the house, and didn't even know that her dad was in our yard, otherwise she would've made sure the gate was closed. The neighbor has a right to be upset, but he makes it sound like we're irresponsible, like we regularly let him wander about terrorizing the 'hood, and he makes false claims of the dog's behavior, even after my f-i-l explained what happened.
